The National Accountability Bureau (NAB) arrested former Railway Minister Saad Rafique and his brother Salman Rafique on Tuesday from Lahore High Court (LHC) in Paragon Housing Scam.
The brothers were arrested by NAB on Tuesday, after the Lahore High Court (LHC) rejected their bails in Paragon Housing Scam. Saad and Salman had filed an application requesting the Lahore High Court to extend their interim bail, which the high court rejected.
The brothers were brought to court in tight security, while roads leading to the court were blocked. NAB will seek physical remand of the brothers during the hearing.
According to the NAB, the suspects along with Nadeem Zia chief executive of Paragon City and others, had launched an illegal housing scheme Paragon City (Pvt) Ltd in 2005 on the basis of fake documents.
