Google Pays Tribute to Abdul Hafeez Kardar on his 94th birth anniversary today, with a doodle.

Abdul Hafeez Kardar was born on 17th January 1925 in a famous kardar family of Lahore, Punjab. He was the 1st captain of Pakistan Cricket team and one of the player who have played for both India and Pakistan in test cricket. Kardar also played domestic cricket for a number of teams, including Muslims, Northern India, and Oxford university.

He went into politics as he had been a strong supporter of Quaid-e-Azam Muhammad Ali Jinnah and served as the president of the PCB in the 1970s . He was also assigned as Pakistan’s ambassador to Switzerland.

He died on 21 April 1996.
